The Trust is mandated under the Columbia Basin Trust Act to manage our assets for the ongoing economic, environmental and social benefit of the region, without relieving governments of any obligations in the region. We are also mandated under the Columbia Basin Management Plan to include the people of the Basin in planning for the management of the assets and to work with others to coordinate activities related to the purpose of the Trust.

We have had a variety of grants – ReDi for Volunteer training – Non-profit Advisors program for Strategic planning.

The Le Roi Foundation began in September of 2005 with a goal - a goal to support charitable endeavours in the communities of Rossland, Warfield, Trail, Montrose, Fruitvale and Areas A and B.

Funding from The Le Roi Foundation goes towards Grief Support Volunteer training.

The Vancouver Commandery, founded in 1986, is the largest of the three Commanderies in the Grand Priory of Canada and largest Commandery in the global organization. With its vision of delivering support to the sick and poor, the Vancouver Commandery has played a strong role in the funding and delivery of hospice and palliative care (HPC) programs, and other services in British Columbia. In addition to HPC, we have a growing involvement in alleviating food insecurity in Metro Vancouver.

We have received funding for projects such as Grief support facilitator training, PR videos, ACP training.

St. Michael’s Catholic School is an Independent Elementary School within the City of Trail, British Columbia.

United Way British Columbia provides funding to non-profit organizations in the following areas: children and youth, food security, healthy aging, urgent response and more.

We have received Navigation & Peer Support grants for NavCare.

Rossland Health Care Auxiliary Thrift Shop- Mandate is to provide funds to only healthcare related organizations and specific requests from groups. We do not donate to individuals. We also allow donations in kind for fire, flood.

Have received funding for AV equipment, computers & staff training.
